Diabetic neuropathy results from diabetic micro vascular blockage involving small blood vessels that supply nerves. It is due to blood sugar being too high for a long period of time.
Diabetic neuropathy affects all peripheral nerves, motor neurons and the autonomic nervous system. It therefore can affect all organs and systems
The areas of the body most commonly affected by diabetic neuropathy are feet.
Symptoms:-
In diabetic feet neuropathy symptoms usually develops gradually over years which are mention bellow
- Numbness
- Pins and needles
- Fasciculation ( fine muscle twitching)
- Painful cramps
- Burning
- Loss of feeling (sensation)
- Muscle loss
- Bone degeneration
- Changes in skin
- Changes in nails
