What is AGNI?

Here in ayurveda there are totally 13 Agni in the body.
1 Jatharagni
7 Dhatwagni
5 Bhutagni
They are useful for digestion, transformation, assimilation and utilization of the nutrient materials of the body. By this description of AGNI it may very well be said that all the enzymes, hormones are to be put under the heading of AGNI.  These AGNI are disturbed in two ways.

  1. TIKSHANAGNI – excessive functioning of AGNI.
  2. MANDAGNI – under functioning of AGNI.

CLASSIFICATION:-

In CHARAK SANHITA maharshi Ckarak classified diabetes (prameh) as under

  1. Sahaj prameh (juvenile diabetes) TYPE  1 DIABETES
  2. Acquired  diabetes TYPE 2 DIABETES

PRE DIABETIC SYMPTOMS (PURVROOP)

In ayurveda certain changes in body before the diabetes is diagnosed are given. The changes are some time very micro in nature and some time they are apparent. These changes are as under

  1. Sweet taste of mouth
  2. Excessive thirst and dryness in mouth
  3. Excessive accumulation of waste materials in channels producing stickiness in skin and bad smell in perspiration
  4. Hairs are also sticky and feather
  5. Lethargies and drowsiness
  6. Burning or hypo sensitiveness in feet

SYMPTOMS:-

  1. Frequent urination
  2. Increase thirst
  3. Increased hunger
  4. Body ache
  5. Burning in feet
  6. Some time numbness in feet

COMPLICATIONS:-
